Ticket to Ride, Michigan
Ticket to Ride Michigan is a one of a kind board game created by a local Michigan resident. With the help of Adobe Illustrator he created the game board using the State map of Michigan. Once the base map layer was established he highlighted major major city locations and added the transportation routes between them. After several revisions the enhanced map files were sent to PrintPlayGames for printing on four 12″ x 18″ sections. While waiting for the game board to arrive, he created game’s route tickets were by hand drawing and assembling them from glossy card stock picked up at a locate teaching supply store. Finally, to celebrate Michigan’s heritage, tiny cars were purchased to use in place of the original game’s train pieces.
What is Ticket to Ride?
Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure in which players collect and play matching train cards to claim railway routes connecting cities across the map.
The longer the routes, the more points they earn.
Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.
The object of the game is to score the highest number of total points. Points can be scored by:
- Claiming a Route between two cities on the map
- Finishing a Continuous Path of routes between two cities listed on your Destination Ticket(s)
- Owning the Longest Continuous Path of routes at the end of the game
Points are lost if you do not successfully complete the route given on your Destination Ticket(s)
